Job Description:As a member of the John Muir Physician Practices (JMHPP) Practice Development and Innovation team, the Project Manager, Performance Team serves as the liaison between strategic development and operational enactment. The role of the Project Manager within the Performance Team is to prioritize and manage projects related to strategic initiatives developed by the JMHPP Leadership team. The Project Manager - Performance Team - JMH Physician Practices allows practice operations to function at a high-performance standard. The Project Managers, collaborate with practice operations staff on the delivery and implementation of innovative programs and projects while ensuring program monitoring and issue remediation support is available when needed. Generally, each project manager of the Performance Team is dedicated to a specific specialty and or specialties and will collaborate most closely with the corresponding director(s) of that specialty to initiate, plan, execute, and monitor project(s). Additional time will be spent supporting other team members based on the size and scope of projects, and workload capacity. Identification of strategic initiatives is performed by the Vice President of Practice Development and Innovation All Project Managers, Performance Teams will report directly to the Manager, Performance Team as individual contributors.Education:

  • Associate Degree (or 4 years experience) - Required
  • Bachelor's Degree - PreferredExperience:
    • 3 years Project Management Experience - Healthcare Management - Required
    • Team Building - Required
    • Change Management - Required
    • Working with Physicians, Building Strong and Trusting Relationships with Physician Leaders - RequiredCertifications/Licensures:
      • Lean Six Sigma Certification - Preferred
      • PMP Certification
      • MBA, MHA, MPH, or other related graduate degree - PreferredSkills:
        • Ability to make timely and informed decisions as well as the ability to delegate
        • Highly organized and ability to set priorities while managing multiple demands under a strict timeline
        • An understanding and appreciation for clinic operations, including continuous quality improvement expertise and interest in operational improvements
        • Comfort and familiarity with computer systems, programs, and applications with an ability to instill this in others
        • Delivers written and verbal communication in a clear, concise, compelling manner to effectively engage others and achieve desired results
        • Experience in the arts of negotiation and persuasion
        • Excellent physician relation skills and ability to engage physicians by providing valuable insights and logical explanations when faced with difficult questionsWork Shift:Exempt Salaried (United States of America)Scheduled Weekly Hours40
