We are growing fast, and our products are available at national retailers including Costco, Safeway, and Walmart.JOB DESCRIPTIONKinder 's is seeking to add an experienced Senior Inventory Accountant to our team who is passionate about CPG food and will thrive in our collaborative, fast-paced environment. This person will work very closely with all key functions including Product (R&D), Creative, Operations, Sales and Finance to deliver against departmental and corporate goals. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this position is a great opportunity to grow and learn with an innovative and high-growth company.Own the inventory function: ensuring that all inventory transactions are recorded accurately and completely in accordance with company policy and GAAP in the accounting systemPerform month end inventory reconciliationsVerify inventory counts and record adjustments to inventory levels for items that have been used, damaged or lostAssist in planning, gathering data, reconciling and performing physical inventory countsWork with our 3PLs to perform cycle countsCreate inventory processes and procedures in compliance with GAAPCalculate and track inventory reserves and analysisOversee inventory management issues (physical counts, inventory movements/errors, etc.)Maintain and analyze the freight capitalization schedule and general ledger entriesAssist with bill of materials and item master maintenanceAd-hoc projects as necessaryDedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting processOperate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requestsAssist with internal and external audits as neededBackup key functions of the month-end close processPOSITION QUALIFICATIONSAbility to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managersERP system experienceExcellent analytical, quantitative and social skillsCommitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlinesStrong organizational skills and attention to detail are a mustAnalytical skills to identify inventory issues, propose potential solutions, and perform trend analysisExperience in internal control execution/documentation a plusMinimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experienceSelf-starter with efficient time management and organizational skillsOutstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reportsExperience with Microsoft Office, Intermediate to Advanced ExcelBA/BS in Accounting required, CPA and/or big 4 experience highly preferredAbility to work in a dynamic and changing environmentA team player that can thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment
