This individual will be responsible for all aspects of the underwriting process including gathering, screening, analyzing and evaluating information on new and existing accounts. Make underwriting decisions within letter of authority. Make recommendations to the underwriters for accounts outside authority and provide superior customer service to agents.Education & Experience:Associates degree, or equivalent1-2 years of surety industry experience in an administrative, underwriting support or bond assistant roleExposure to or some experience with financial statement and/or financial analysis preferred.Essential skills:Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, multi-task, problem solve, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines.Knowledge of basic industry concepts and word processing software programs and spreadsheet software.Ability to work independently, while working as a part of a team.Knowledge of financial statements and ability to analyze financial information.CapSpecialty is a leading provider of specialty insurance and bonds for small- to mid-sized businesses in the U.S., offering commercial Casualty, Professional Liability, Surety and Fidelity products in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
