Job Description:

An Immediate opening for a full-time, mid-level, Geologist/Engineer/Environmental Scientist in Walnut Creek, CA. Will work in both the field and office to support CERCLA and RCRA environmental assessment, remediation, and construction projections mainly around the Walnut Creek area.The successful candidate will possess the following skill and qualifications:Responsibilities:

• Prepare project planning documents, conduct field work preparation, and Supervise subcontractors and field crew
• Support remediation programs through analysis of remedial alternatives
• Participating and collaborating with stakeholders to meet project objectives
• Perform soil, groundwater, sediment, surface water, air, and waste characterization sampling
• Operate and maintain soil and groundwater remedial systemsQualifications:
  • Must be a local resident to the area/able to comfortably commute to Walnut Creek
  • Must have technical writing skills (document prep, field paperwork, report writing)
  • Must have at least a Bachelors Degree in Geology, Engineering, or related in Environmental Science field
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in an assessment and remediation type setting, working on contaminated sites specifically
  • Must be able to become registered (PE, PG, EIT, GIT)Employment Type:
    • Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8AM-5PMYears of Experience:
      • 3 - 5 years of experience in environmental assessment/remediation field experience (with Bachelors or Masters)Skills:
        • Field sampling, technical writing, contaminated site, remediation field experiencePreferred:
          • Federal clients, CERCLA projects / process, GIT / EIT, on track for PE or PG or any registration, or previous experience managing subcontractors Additional Skills & Qualifications:
            • Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Engineering, or related Environmental Science
            • 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
            • Current 8 hour refresher preferred
            • Master's Degree in Geology, Engineering, or related Environmental Science preferred
            • CPR certified preferred
            • Knowledge of RCRA, CERCLA and other environmental regulationsWork Environment:
              • Office location in Walnut Creek, field work around Walnut Creek/Bay Area
