Desktop Administrator - Full-Time - Brea, CA 18.00 - 24.00 per
hour SUMMARY The Desktop Administrator performs medium complexity
level desktop support including installs, diagnoses, repairs,
maintenance and upgrades on desktops, laptops, mobile devices,
printers and telephony equipment. The Desktop Administrator will
also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone or via
e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user
assistance where required. RESPONSIBILITIES Perform Tier 2 onsite
analysis, diagnosis and resolution. Escalate to Tier 3 support, if
needed. Respond to incoming calls, tickets and emails regarding
desktop problems. Administer and resolve issues with associated
end-user workstation networking software products. Perform PC
setups, moves, additions and changes. Build, install, configure,
test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot end-user desktops, laptops
and related hardware and software, in order to deliver required
desktop service levels. Prepare and deploy mobile devices to
include iPad, Surface, iPhone, Android, etc. Support client-side
security configuration and patching activities. Perform mid- level
client-side scripting Support small to mid- size desktop, laptop
and mobile device centric projects. Assess and implement hardware
upgrade needs (CPUs, memory, IO and NIC cards, hard drives, ribbon
cables, etc.) and software upgrades (patches, firmware, etc.).
Follow and maintain documented procedures for managing, logging,
reporting and statistically monitoring desktop operations. Maintain
an inventory of all monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems,
network cards, VOIP phones and other components and equipment.
Collaborate with Senior Desktop Engineer and LAN techniciansnetwork
administrators to ensure efficient operation of the companyrsquos
desktop computing environment. Prepare tests and applications for
monitoring desktop performance then provide statistics and reports.
Remain informed about the events, trends and developments which
affect the Desktop Administrator role, business area(s) and the
financial services industry. Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Associatersquos degree in IT or related discipline
required, or equivalent work or educational experience.
Bachelorrsquos degree preferred. Minimum three years of experience
in technology required including desktop, laptops, mobile devices
and their peripherals, client-side networking and Windows desktop
operating systems. Effective client-side networking and telephony
skills required. Core client-side application knowledge required.
Effective analytical and problem solving skills required.
Proficiency with A+, N+, MCDST and preferred. Full time hours
required, with additional hours as necessary. travel required.
Ability to lift 25 pounds, with bending and mobility to move large
