Based at our headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas, the chosen candidate will drive the development of Android applications that enhance the shopping experience for millions of Walmart customers globally. This role is pivotal in architecting robust, scalable, and user-friendly mobile applications that align with our strategic goals, ensuring Walmart remains at the forefront of retail technology. Lead the design and development of advanced Android applications. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to transform requirements into high-quality, reliable solutions. Mentor junior developers, promoting best practices in Android development. Review and optimize app architecture for enhanced performance across Android devices. Stay up-to-date with new technology trends and incorporate them into operations and activities. Ensure applications meet quality standards and secure consumer data effectively. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the mobile development department. Proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android. Expertise in Android SDK, remote data via REST and JSON, and third-party libraries and APIs. Strong understanding of the full mobile development life cycle. Excellent skills in performance tuning and memory management. Knowledge of the latest coding methodologies and technologies.
