Job Description:
Windsor Hospitality is looking for their newest Area Human
Resources Director. This position will support our hotels as
designated and within the market assigned. Weekly travel will be
required.The Area Human Resources Director provides guidance to all
employees in their region. They provide support to management and
help direct best practices, as well as educate employees and
managers on HR policies and procedures.To be successful in this
position, you ideally would have experience working in the
hospitality industry, a good knowledge of local, state and federal
labor regulations, and experience with HRIS Management Software. A
hands-on approach is necessary for all aspects of this role.Primary
Purpose:Ensure effective and economical utilization of the Human
Resources department in the hotels by directing, supervising, and
coordinating the activities and routines of the personnel function,
including recruiting and employment, compensation and benefits,
training, payroll and benefits administration.Essential
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of HR objectives for hotels in assigned area
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll files for processing
- Assists management staff in the administration of personnel
policies.
- Monitors workers compensation costs.
- Maintains and monitors an effective employee relations
program.
- Identify long and short-term hiring needs.
- Assist Corporate Director of Human Resources with division of
oversight to assigned hotel.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures, local, state
and federal laws and regulations pertaining to employment
practices.
- Positive employee relations in a supportive environment.
- Maintains an appropriate level of community affairs
involvement.
- Regular visitation to assigned hotelsLead HR support staff in
execution of HR priorities, to include, but not limited to:
- Recruits and screens applicants
- Maintains employee files
- Employee orientation
- Design, plan and implement HR programs and policies for
employee recruitment and retention
- Team member development and employee communication and
coaching
- Employee training and development programs
- Performance review program for all employees at hotel
- Surveys of compensation and employment trends in local
marketplace
- Fair wage and salary administration in the hotel in accordance
with policy
- Positive employee relations in a supportive environment.

- B.A. or equivalent degree in Human Resource Management or
relevant field.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Local employment laws to ensure
compliance.
- 6-8 years of human resource management experience, with a
minimum of 3 years in Hospitality.
- Hands-on experience with payroll systems, such as ADP, Paycom,
Ceridian.
- Interpret information in mathematical, written and diagram
form, such as statistical reports, profit and loss statements,
financial statements and credit regulations.
- Understand the effect of politics and economic trends will have
on company or organization's plans.
- Continually make decisions based on experience and personal
feelings as well as on facts and figures.
- Deal with all kinds of people ranging from civic leaders to
employees and from legislators to the general public.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.Windsor Hospitality manages a
