Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for an experienced NICU RN to provide specialized neonatal care in a Level III NICU setting. This travel position offers an 8-week assignment starting on April 20th, with shifts available either 36 or 48 hours per week on 12-hour nights. The hospital serves as a 172-bed Level II Trauma and Teaching Hospital and is recognized as the premier trauma center in the county. Responsibilities include caring for a census averaging 10 neonatal patients, primarily Level II and 24-25-week growers and feeders. Nurses will manage acuity-based caseloads, typically maintaining a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio. Collaboration with Charge RNs and Medical Unit Clerks ensures a supportive clinical environment, allowing focus on high-quality patient care. Transfer of patients is limited to those with cardiac diagnoses, emphasizing the comprehensive care delivered on-site.
