qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Walnut Creek, California, 94598!

Must-Have: Pediatric experience License: CA RN License
Certifications: Required: BCLS, ACLS, PALS Preferred: CPAN
Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing
in PACU. The nurse will care for patients recovering from general
surgery, covering all specialties except open heart surgery,
including pediatrics. The average length of patient stay in this
unit is 1-4 hours. The patient population includes a range of ages
from pediatric to adult. An extensive PACU experience, flexibility,
and a positive attitude are essential. The unit is staffed with
ancillary assistance. The nurse will utilize the Epic documentation
system and Pyxis for medication management. On-call requirements
will be scheduled, including weekend coverage as needed. The
nursing environment emphasizes professional appearance and
adherence to dress code standards. All staff must maintain a
professional demeanor and exhibit minimal jewelry and appropriate
grooming standards. No floating to other units will be required for
this position. The nurse will be expected to collaborate with
respiratory therapy and anesthesia teams. Unit-specific protocols
will be applied as per guidelines. Candidates with previous travel
