Description:Neurosurgical practice in Walnut Creek, CA looking to hire a California-licensed Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)Responsibilities will include a variety of direct patient care contexts including inpatient rounding/consults/discharges, first assist duties, and outpatient visits. The practice provides care for both brain and spine disorders in adults including trauma, tumors, and degenerative pathologies. The APP will work alongside a busy surgeon and be expected to work hard and be willing to learn. Reliability and dedication as well as effective interpersonal and communication skills are required for consideration.Highly competitive salary and benefits. Friendly workplace and great location.Requirements: Qualifications:-- 3+ years of experience in neurosurgery, orthopedics, or trauma surgery-- Previous operating room experience with proficiency in suturing and wound closure-- Current California State Licensure as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner-- Clinical Master's Degree Physician Assistant or Clinical Master's Degree in Nursing or DNP for ARNPs-- National Board Certification/Certification-eligible-- Current BLS or ACLS certification-- Current DEA License (preferred, not required)The position will be part-time and include call coverage. It will be based in Walnut Creek, CA.
