Job Description:

Our practices are seeking Per Diem Front & Back Office Medical Assistants. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, where multi-tasking skills are key. You will have a high degree of responsibility and independence.

This position will consist of front and back-office duties including:

--- Scheduling appointments

--- Responding to patient calls

--- Insurance knowledge

--- Appointment Reminders

--- Data entry into Electronic Health Record (EPIC)

--- Scanning and faxing

Job Responsibilities (once placed):

--- Vitals

--- Entry data to EHR

--- Answering multi-line phones

--- Scheduling office visits

--- Endoscopies

--- Colonoscopies and imaging studies

--- Responding to patient calls (Lab results, medication refills, etc.)

--- Obtaining prior authorizations for medication, procedures, medical records

--- Scanning and faxing

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications:

--- Certified Medical Assistant

--- Knowledge in Medical Terminology

--- Strong computer skills

--- Excellent Verbal and Written skills

--- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

--- 1+ years' experience as a Medical Assistant

--- Electronic Health Records experience (EPIC)

Requirements:

--- HS Diploma

--- Medical Assistant Certificate

--- 3 Professional References

Compensation will be based on experience.

Pay Scale/Ranges:

$15.00-$41.50/hour (and the hourly equivalent for salaried employees). *

The patey scale/ranges shown are representative of the pay rates for the job title reflected above, but an employee's actual pay rate will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
