Position Overview:

The primary role of the Staff II RN is to coordinate the delivery of care for the patient population they serve from admission through discharge. Included in this delivery of care are all aspects of the physical, psychosocial, safety and educational needs of the patient and their family/support system. This function is performed in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team including but not limited to nursing peers, attending physicians and ancillary support services. The staff RN uses the nursing process, medical therapeutics, technology and personal interventions to accomplish this.

ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire

Sutter Delta Medical Center, Department: Med Surg, Medical Surgical Certification within Medical Surgical Certification

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE
Sutter Delta Medical Center, Department: Med Surg, --- 1 year of basic Medical / Surgical acute care nursing experience or at least six months experience in specialty area
--- Must demonstrate basic Medical / Surgical Nursing Skills
--- Must demonstrate competencies in the nursing process and pharmacology
--- Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
--- Must demonstrate basic knowledge of adult, geriatric
--- Must learn operations of relevant equipment in unit

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Must demonstrate the following:
--- basic Medical / Surgical nursing skills,
--- basic competencies in the nursing process and pharmacology,
--- basic knowledge of adolescent,
--- adult and geriatric population,
--- ability to work with all levels of nursing personnel and assist them in a resource capacity,
--- effective English written and verbal communication skills.
Must learn operations of relevant equipment in unit Pay Range: 69.75-94.40

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
