Job Description & RequirementsRegistered Nurse - Labor & Delivery - (LD RN)StartDate: 04/24/2023Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $3876.71 - 4272.30The 233-bed Walnut Creek Medical Center is located in an urban downtown area surrounded by shops and restaurants.
The In-house advanced life support nurses and pediatrician to attend deliveries with the L&D RNs. Patient care requires experience with fetal monitoring, NRP, PACU recovery.





Facility is at 300 BPM, but will consider canidates w/at least 150 bpm and high risk experience
Intermediate and or Advanced FHM
Circulate for C-sections but not necessary to scrub
Comfortable with floating to Mom Baby area to do couplet care.


UNIT & Delivery including two ORs for C-Sections
(Total Facility # Beds: 230)
Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:2
Antepartums, laboring patients both low risk and high risk, post partum mom's and babies, inductions
11 Private LDR suites, 5 bed out patient screening, 4 bed PACU, 2 OR suites, 2 antepartum beds, and 2 induction rooms.
Avg Daily Census: 11
Avg: 9-10 Births/day Float: maternal child area
Procedures: Amniocentesis, c sections, PARR, NST, OCT, Fetal Demise, Ultrasound
Meds: Pitocin, mag sulfate, insulin
Float: Mother Baby Unit, newborn nursery
Assistant Nurse Managers on every shift and weekends
