Job Description:The Medical Assistant II will work under the direction of licensed medical professionals and performs a variety of clerical and patient care duties to assist practitioners and other members of health care team.Provides appropriate care to patients and their families in a compassionate and professional manner, within the Medical Assistant (MA) scope of practiceAssists the patients care team in implementing the medical plan of careAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, national origin, protected veteran status or on the basis of disability.
Job Qualifications:High school diploma or GED certificateCurrent CPR CertificationCompleted an accredited Medical Assistant programRequires at minimum 1 year of experience in an ambulatory care environment as a Medical AssistantProficiency with an electronic medical records (EMR) system (preferably Epic)Demonstrated ability to room patients, take and accurately document vital signs, administer injections, and maintain medical recordsOptimum team player must be able to multi-task and consistently practice positive patient relations and customer service
