Role: MANAGING DIRECTOR
Travel: The travel is negligible, primarily regional and between
the Walnut Creek, CA & San Jose, CA offices.
Region: Walnut Creek, CA & San Jose, CA (This MD will run both
offices)
Income: $300K++ OTE (On-target-earnings)
About our client
Our client is a US based global company that has been in business
for over 25 years. They are on a very aggressive grow trajectory
and expect to exceed $1 billion in revenues by the end of 2020. In
fact, they are ahead of schedule.
Not only are they hiring people all over the US, they are well
capitalized and acquiring other firms. They were born as a staffing
firm but have been blossoming into a Solution-selling Managed
Services organization that provides a variety of services
including; Application Development Services, Digital Automation,
Infrastructure as a Service, Agile Services, Business Intelligence
Services, Cloud Enablement Services, Testing Services, Enterprise
Resource Planning, etc.
When it comes to Managed Services, they are very good at PROJECT
MANAGEMENT and PROGRAM MANAGEMENT. But as mentioned earlier, they
also have great depth in staffing in general. They have big clients
like Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, Daimler, Exxon, Chase, Capital
One, Wells Fargo, Kaiser Permanente, etc.
The landscape of the role
Our client needs a COACH to lead both of the teams in these two of
their regional offices! These two offices have multiple
well-established major accounts, even some whales! This person will
run BOTH offices from a sales and P & L perspective. San Jose is
basically operating as a satellite office of Walnut Creek and this
point and one of the charters of this role is to do more hiring.
They have a high level of focus on High Tech & Healthcare clientele
but this office is not limited in that regard. The territory has a
local regional focus.
The main thing that they are looking for is someone that has
experience training and mentoring Account Executives. - - A
hands-on leader is needed, a player-coach.
These Account Executive direct reports are in strategic sales roles
servicing and further developing an already existing book of
business. But they will do some hunting too and the COACH should be
able to help them land the big deals, NEW LOGOS.
Their staffing business footprint is quite substantial and they
have been successful in parlaying those wins into the creation of a
new business line company-wide, a new silo, Managed Services. They
need a coach that can help the team take those singles and doubles
and turn them into home runs.
This Managing Director will create and drive a go-to-market
portfolio strategy plan for assigned accounts. They will use
monthly dashboard metrics to generate objective coaching points for
Account Executives and ensure team members complete required
processes such as account planning. They will leverage offerings of
the Shared Services teams and collaborate effectively with all
groups (Finance, Legal, HR, Operations/IT and Strategy, Policy &
Programs). They will develop account-specific plans in
collaboration with Account Executives; produce monthly forecast
reports each quarter that show how they are tracking against AE /
account goals.
