  • Collaborative Environment - AAA will value your contribution to providing exceptional service to our membersThe Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) leads our organization's DE&I initiatives, including Employee Resource Groups, as we strive to make all employees feel welcome and respected, and strengthen our mission as a Member-first service organization.Primary duties include measuring and monitoring company diversity, researching DE&I trends, developing creative strategies, programs and practices to foster diversity goals, and providing support to various groups within our organization. The Director works closely with the Sr. Vice President, Community and Chief Legal & People Officer to reinforce diversity and inclusion in the workplace and help make our organization an even better place to work.Essential DutiesStrategy Development
    • Develops creative strategies and plans to meet annual DE&I targets in collaboration with the Legal & People division
    • Identifies and creates new DE&I initiatives that improve the employee experience, and better serve our Members.
    • Contributes to the awareness and advancement of our DE&I strategy through thought leadership, external benchmarking and insights development.
    • Supports the CL&PO as a trusted advisor on a range of DE&I topics.Operations
      • Establishes systems, processes and tools to advance DE&I objectives.
      • Supports Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
      • Prepares and disseminates DE&I information to appropriate stakeholders regarding program status, reporting, and milestones.
      • Oversees agreements with external DE&I vendors to ensure timely delivery of programs.
      • Manages and directs annual program budget; provides quarterly forecasts on expenses.Stakeholder Engagement
        • Develops and maintains positive and productive internal and external partner relationships to develop best practices and deliver against DE&I goals.

              • High School DIploma or equivalent (required)
              • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
              • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Google Suite and Internet usage
              • Minimum of 5+ years relevant Human Resources or related experience, including but not limited to developing and leading diversity programs within a corporate environment.
              • 2+ years direct people leadership (required)
              • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP (preferred)Working Environment
                • Works in an office environment sitting at a desk, table or computer workstation for extended periods of time. May travel by car, plane or other form of transportation to attend business meetings or conferences. Approximately 50-80 percent of the time spent on the job involves the use of a personal computer.
                • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods
                • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
