A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available to provide essential support to 10th and 12th grade students in Wilmington, DE. This role involves delivering push-in services within English classrooms and managing two small group English classrooms, supporting approximately 23 students. The position offers an immediate start with an opportunity to continue through the 2026-2027 school year (approximately August 25 to June 15), based on fit and performance. Key Responsibilities: Deliver push-in Special Education support in English classes for 10th and 12th graders Lead instruction and support in two small group English classrooms Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and classroom strategies Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation Attend scheduled meetings and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with high school students, especially 10th-12th grades Ability to provide push-in services in general education classrooms Strong classroom management and organizational skills Effective communication and collaboration abilities Commitment to supporting diverse learners and fostering an inclusive environment Details: Location: On-site in Wilmington, DE Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:25 PM Includes a lunch break and two preparatory periods daily Contract: Immediate start through end of the current school year with potential extension through 2026-2027 school year Competitive weekly pay disbursed every Friday Comprehensive benefits package available This opportunity is ideal for Special Education Teachers seeking a stable full-time role supporting secondary students in an inclusive environment.
