Support students' growth and learning by providing essential assistance in K-12 educational settings as a paraprofessional in El Dorado County. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in diverse classroom environments focused on meeting the needs of students with varying behavioral and learning challenges. Location: El Dorado County, CA (including El Dorado Hills, Shingle Springs, Placerville, Camino, and reaching as far as Lake Tahoe)Duration: Current School Year (CSY)Setting: K-12 public schools, primarily moderate to severe classrooms Key Responsibilities: Assist classroom teachers in managing students, particularly those with high behavioral needs Provide one-on-one support to students requiring individualized attention as well as general classroom aide duties Implement behavior intervention plans under supervision Maintain active CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) and CPR certifications at all times Collaborate with educators and staff to foster a supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working in moderate to severe special education classrooms Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and student support strategies Ability to work flexibility within several school sites throughout El Dorado County Reliable transportation to access various locations within the broad geographic area Benefits and Perks: Engaging role supporting students with special needs Opportunity to develop skills in behavioral interventions and special education support Participate in a dynamic educational community across multiple schools Candidates interested in applying should submit through the specified online form.
