Job Description Senior Project Manager – Commercial Electrical Construction (Bay Area, CA) Walnut Creek, CA (Onsite) $175,000 – $200,000 base salary bonus potential About the Opportunity Join one of the Bay Area’s most respected and long-standing electrical contractors, known for delivering high-performance projects in healthcare, higher education, and large-scale commercial markets . With a legacy spanning over seven decades, this team is trusted for their expertise, craftsmanship, and ability to execute complex builds from pre-construction through project closeout. We’re seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large, high-value projects ($20M) and oversee all phases of commercial electrical construction from planning and budgeting to execution and delivery. What You’ll Do In this leadership role, you’ll take ownership of major electrical projects and drive them to successful completion. You’ll be responsible for: Leading all phases of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management. Managing multiple mid-sized projects simultaneously or serving as lead PM on large-scale, complex builds valued at $20M . Interpreting project drawings, specifications, and contracts to guide strategic decision-making. Providing hands-on leadership to project engineers, field teams, and subcontractors. Overseeing financial performance, cost tracking, and change management. Working closely with clients, architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders to resolve challenges and maintain strong relationships. Supporting estimating and pre-construction efforts familiarity with Accubid or similar tools is preferred. Ensuring projects meet quality standards, safety regulations, and client expectations. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a proven project leader who thrives in a collaborative, relationship-driven environment and brings a strong track record of delivering large, complex electrical builds. Ideal candidates will offer: 10 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with demonstrated success leading projects $20M in value. Deep experience in electrical construction this is essential. Strong background in healthcare or higher education projects (commercial experience considered; industrial-only experience not a fit). Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver on schedule and budget. Excellent communication, leadership, and client-relationship skills. Familiarity with project management tools such as Bluebeam, Trimble VISTA (ERP), ProjectSite (Procore equivalent), and AutoCAD .
