United Business Bank's comprehensive benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, long and short term disability insurance, flexible spending account, a generous vacation and sick policy.About the Position The Senior Accountant is an onsite position and does not have remote opportunities.The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing a variety functions including Account Reconciliations, GL Certifications, Investment accounting, various financial reports, and various other accounting activities. This position is also responsible for the preparation of certain monthly and quarterly financial reports. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for general accounting, analysis and reporting related to investments and borrowings, as well as reconciliations and the associated research and correction of all discrepancies. They will also provide support in the preparation for audits and examinations, budgeting and financial analysis, and other duties as assigned. The Senior Accountant performs all duties accurately, timely and efficiently, and in accordance with Bank policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines. This position will perform other duties from time to time and will be asked to assist with special projects as needed.About You You are a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a team environment. You also have the following:Education/Certification: Accounting degree. MBA or CPA certification a plus.Required Knowledge: Knowledge of banking procedures and financial operations, as well as standard banking practices.Experience Required: A minimum of 7 years experience in the Accounting area of a Financial InstitutionSkills/Abilities:Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.Detailed, organized and ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.Good communication skills.Good math skills.Professional appearance, dress and attitude.Ability to use Microsoft Office software package.Ability to operate related computer hardware and other business equipment including adding machine, typewriter, copy machine, telephone, encoder and paper shredder.Location: Onsite, no remoteWe are an equal opportunity employer.
