challenges.Introduction to the teamThe growing Business Consulting
Services practice is a collaborative group that is committed to
providing superior client service through strong relationships and
high value deliverables. The Senior role will provide outstanding
service to our Tribal government clients by delivering a variety of
ongoing accounting services as well as grant management
functions.Individuals who thrive at Moss Adams exhibit the

- Performs operational, accounting, and consulting services for
Tribal governments, that include monthly closing, grants
management, grant reporting, and financial reporting to key
decision makers
- Prepares polished deliverables for clients; ensures timely
client deliverables
- Develops policies and procedures on key accounting matters
- Works collaboratively with clients to understand current
business practices, identify opportunities for improvement, assist
in defining new processes, and assist in developing updated
policies and procedures
- Performs project start up activities, such as following project
work plans, adhering to schedules, and attending kickoff
meetings
- Coordinates with clients during the audit process, which may
include helping clients prepare for their audits
- Reviews the work of self for accuracy
- Serves as an integral member of our Business Consulting
Services team
- Occasionally travels to client locations, firm trainings, or
industry conferencesQualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in
Accounting or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3years of related experience, not for profit and/or
governmental experience preferred
- Experience in one or more of the following preferred: grants
management, financial accounting including account reconciliation,
governmental accounting standards implementation, and/or accounts
payable processing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including proven
commitment to providing exceptional client service via multiple
communication methods (email, phone, chat, helpdesk ticket system,
etc.)
- Ability to understand problems, think critically and identify
creative solutions
- Effective time management and organizational skills, proven
ability to prioritize while simultaneously managing numerous
projects/processes often under tight deadlines
- Works independently to prioritize work, establish goals and
produce quality work
- Self-directed professional with strong interpersonal
skills
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively across
functions/departments/teams while building trusted
relationships
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and one or more government
accounting/grant management software systems
- Ability to travel as needed, approximately 25%Moss Adams is an
