chronic pain.IPM Medical Group is hiring for a Payroll Specialist
to work out of our Corporate Office in Walnut Creek, CA. This is
NOT a remote-work role.The Payroll Specialist is responsible for
processing all aspects of payroll, including consolidating
timesheet information, creation of certified payroll reports,
performing basic calculations, verifying data and reconciliation as
required. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for
coordinating payroll submission, generating reports, and reviewing
payroll related documents.Experience with ADP Workforce Now
preferred. Candidate will work closely with the Human Resources and
Accounting. Adhere to Federal and State laws on payroll tax
obligations and maintain/ preserve highest
confidentiality.Candidates must be able to show proof of COVID
vaccination or exemption prior to interview.ESSENTIAL JOB
DUTIES:
- Process high volume full cycle payroll in multi-states for
exempt and non-exempt employees in a timely manner
- Process and calculate termination checks in a timely
manner
- Establish and ensure accuracy of federal, state, and local
taxes, social security contributions, employee benefit
contributions, fringe benefits, garnishments and other deductions
of employee paychecks
- Assist with balancing of payroll accounts by resolving payroll
discrepancies
- Audit employee time and labor data submitted by various offices
and interact with supervisors as required to verify data and
resolve discrepancies
- Analyze and respond to inquiries from employees regarding
paycheck amounts, deductions, leave accruals, direct deposit, and
other concerns
- Pull various payroll reports from the ADP system
- Maintain notification processes to employees and managers,
resolve employee access issues and other questions in a timely
manner
- Document and update written payroll procedures
- Maintain payroll documentation and files
- Assist with providing reports to the auditors
- Assist with reporting and other projects as
neededQUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in accounting, finance,
business or related field
- 2+ years experience with high volume payroll data entry
- Experience with large volume transactions of at least 500
employees which will continue to increase exponentially
- Knowledge of federal & state laws related to paying
employees
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now
- Solid understanding of basic payroll accounting
- Possesses strong mathematical and calculation abilities
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Works well independently and in team environment
- Multi-tasker, good time management skills, well organized
- Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot table, Xlookup)
- Strong computer skills including a high proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint)We offer
