The staff registered nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame utilizing the John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care, American Nurses Association's (ANA) Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, and Title 16. The RN coordinates and provides care through the therapeutic use of self, nursing process, and the environment and technology, in partnership and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.Education:

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing - Required
• Bachelor's Degree Accredited School of Nursing - PreferredExperience:
  • 6 Months Nursing - Medical Acute Care - Required
  • 5 years Nursing - Critical Care - PreferredCertifications/Licensures:
    • RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing - Required
    • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
    • ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association - Required prior to completion of orientation to the assigned area
    • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support - American Heart Association - Preferred
    • Clinical Specialty - Certification - Preferred Skills:
      • Strong written and verbal communication skill required. Please note: Start times will vary based on patient scheduling. Earliest start time may be 0700, latest start time may be 1230. Candidates must be flexible to work a variety of shifts and various locations. Work Shift: 08.0 - 12:30 - 21:00 No Waive (United States of America)Pay Range:$74.66 - $101.72 Hourly Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 32
